Christmas party at Cloverdale arena 10:00 am – 12:00 Dec. 29 2007

The Christmas skate went well with approx. 110 guests. Quite a few players got their hockey fix for the Xmas break. The kids really enjoyed the shinny hockey game and Gary Bruce almost stopped some shots. Jim Flach never came off the ice I don’t think, and Dwane Goderis  Bob Collison, John Fraser, Brad Engelland and others kept the kids scrambling for the puck. It was nice to meet some of the wives that attended and a good time was had by all.

Dams Ford Lincoln Sales Ltd. was founded by Gordon Dams at the original site on 104th Ave., Surrey, in 1974 and our Langley store at 19330 Langley Bypass in the spring of 1994.

Mr. Dams has run the company as its President and General Manager since that time on one simple premise: Be competent, be honest and be fair and you will earn your customer's loyalty.

We work hard to maintain those standards and the results show by constantly achieving Ford Motor Company's highest awards in customer satisfaction and continued growth in the community.

Our success is not from having the largest Ford showroom in the lower mainland, nor is it the heavy commercial truck business that we do. Our success has been the ability to attract and retain the finest employees in the industry. Therefore a major goal of our company is to foster a work environment that provides abundant opportunity for achievement, advancement and most importantly, fun. We are a full service Ford Dealership offering first class sales and service for our valued customers.

The Hockey Shop is a family owned and operated store since 1988 that is located in Surrey, British Columbia. Rod and Ursula Bolivar opened the doors to the store location with son Chad. It was a tiny character shop that also featured the family dog, a yellow Labrador named Goldie.

A new store, three different yellow labs and many renovations later...

Ken Whiddington, his son Brad and daughter Kristie partnered up in 2001 and helped bring The Hockey Shop to the next level of service and selection. We now feature over 10,000 square feet of hockey gear and are the largest independent hockey retailer on the west coast of Canada. With a staff of over 20 hockey specialists including eight goal specialists and four professional sharpeners We Know Hockey.

SMRHL Golf Tournament

Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Guildford Golf Course.

The Event was a great success, with most everyone agreeing the golf tournament should continue to be an annual event. The final count was approx. 95 golfers and about 100 for dinner. Thanks to the golf committee, Matt, Randy, John, Brad and Don Third for making this possible and the sponsors and donators as the gifts were greatly appreciated by all that attended.

The format was Texas Scramble which is teams of four using the best ball after each shot. Also each player had to use at least 2 tee shots during the round. The winning team was: Brad Engelland, Rob Jackson, Darryl Carlson and Boston Pizza Sponsor Dave Allen (-8)

A good steak dinner was enjoyed by all, and the spirit of SMRHL was shining by the end of the night. Another statement of the great design of this league with all attendees enjoying the festivities.
