SMRHL Golf Tournament
Saturday,
May 12, 2007 at Guildford Golf Course.
The
Event was a great success, with most everyone agreeing the golf tournament
should continue to be an annual event. The final count was approx. 90 golfers
and about 95 for dinner. Thanks to the golf committee Sheldon, Matt, Randy,
John, and Brad for making this possible and the sponsors and donators as the
gifts were greatly appreciated by all that attended.
The
format was Texas Scramble which is teams of four using the best ball after each
shot. Also each player had to use at least 2 tee shots during the round. The
winning team was:
A
good steak dinner was enjoyed by all, and the spirit of SMRHL was shining by
the end of the night. Another statement of the great design of this league with
all attendees enjoying the festivities.
Spring hockey
Thursday
night drop in hockey begins April 13 and runs through
the summer until
August 17. Ice times are 7:45 to 9 p.m. every Thursday on
the wide
open spaces of South Surrey Arena (2199 148th Street). For more
